Why you aren't getting any reviews/testimonials and how you can!

Did you know if you don’t communicate what you want in your biz, you won’t get it? If you don’t share that you have things to sell or sessions or services to book, you won’t sell or book them!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now that’s one we all already know, I know. But a lot of us don’t take those learnings through to other parts of our business!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This was something I chatted in a lot more detail about in Chromatical Club the other day, but I wanted to mention it here briefly incase it helps.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you are wondering why you aren’t getting any reviews/testimonials or why no one’s sharing photos wearing your products, here are a few examples of things that many need to talk about a LOT more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s likely people aren’t taking action on the things you really want them to, because you aren’t ‘selling’ those things in the same way you sell your products or services.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Posting once in a blue moon (or never) about seeking reviews or photos (UGC) won’t mean people share them. People don’t just think to do it. It’s the repeated message that makes people take action.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here are my tips to repeat your message without being yuck and annoying.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⭐️Do an occasional special post about it on your feed⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️By sharing a testimonial or a UGC photo, you are showing what you do with them, and that in itself will encourage people to do it without telling them to⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️Add reminders at the end of your posts “ooh, and don’t forget…”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️You might already send a card out asking for a review or photo in your parcel, but they often get turfed before they use what you sent. So send the card, and then a follow up email a month later as a reminder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️Add reminders in your newsletters⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️Let people know in stories from time to time and just sneak it in. It doesn’t have to be a full on ‘hello please send me your photos’ post⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The more reminders, the better result! But just like selling your products, these have to be balanced, genuine, authentic and not super salesy/demandy.
